Zen2 is the fastest , highest specification centre consul charter boat in the UK. She is fitted with a 150 HP Suzuki 2.8 Litre powerhouse , she cruises at around 24 knots and will hit 35 knots if you push the lever. We tend to stick to 22-24 knots to conserve fuel . She slices through chop with ease. The huge internal freeboard and no compromise ‘ Sherman Tank’ construction gives you a real sense of security when aboard. Coded for 3 plus skipper this allows passengers plenty of room to fish or move around.

I prefer Bass fishing in Cornwall !
I find the Cornish Coastline a constant source of inspiration. This fuels my desire to fish every day I possibly can. Sharing old secrets while discovering new ones with clients is what drives me. Saltwater Fly fishing for Bass was the foundation of everything that has happened . These days I am just as happy fishing Topwater Lures or weightless soft plastics in the shallows. We fish Paddle Tail Shads a great deal of the time . We fish ultra light Vertical .
I draw inspiration from the French Bass scene. I am a member of the team with Ultimate Fishing France. I also enjoy sponsorship from Daiwa.
Shark Fishing on Zen2
The light tackle ethos extends to Shark Fishing . We fish Daiwa Saltiga Fixed spools reels , AVET Baitcasters, short 6 to 7 foot tropical jigging rods. I have clients that have been Bass fishing with me for years are now starting to shark fish ” Zen Style ” We use Braided lines , Wind on leaders and circle hooks. I prefer to release the sharks in the water as often as possible.
